Before he became a TV star, Bob Ross sold thousands of landscape paintings. Some of them sold for as little as $60. In 1980, Larry Walton, an Alaskan flight instructor, purchased an original Bob Ross painting for $60 at an Anchorage fair. When he later saw the artist’s signature on the corner of the canvas, he sold it to an art gallery in Minneapolis.
